Wyndclyffe By Joe Hart ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ digital ARC from booksprout.

This was such a thrilling, atmospheric gothic psychological mystery that makes you question what is happening. It centres around Mira Caine who is still struggling with the lost of her parents in a car crash and trying to take care of her intellectual disabled brother, she is living in a housing for teens in crisis while her brother is in a care home that she is working at part time, but funding cuts mean she is let go so when a woman offers her a job to be a companion to a rich girl who suffered a harrowing incident. Mira accepts even though she has doubts the money is too good to pass up and would allow her and her brother to have a home. Soon she is finding herself loosing her grip on reality when she arrives at the island with strange dreams and moments of confusion, the fact she can't make calls, WiFi is spotty and the boat suddenly having a broken engine makes her feel isolated. Honestly did not expect how it ended or what was really happening to Mira but this was so gripping and can't wait to find more from Joe Hart.
