July Wrap Up

Published on 3 August 2026 at 15:41

July is over and what a month is was for reading, maybe as it was birth month and my birthday was at the end of it, I finished 12 books overall again it was all a mix of ARCs/ALCs from Netgallery and Booksprout as I have backlog on them. I decided to mark the audiobooks with a symbol to try something new. Below I will show my ratings with number of books to each rating.

Book Ratings

5.0 - 6 Books

4.75 - 3 Books

4.50 - 2 Books

3.75 - 1 Book.

This month's stand outs and low point.

This month the stand outs were both Audiobooks, the first one is Alex Abbott Is Undead which for being for a younger audience I found it to be a great, funny listen. The other was When We Spoke to the Dead a non fiction about the history of women and the spiritualism movement in America, I will also mention the Strange World of H.P Lovecraft: A Guide to the Characters and Creations of the Cthulhu Mythos and Grief Eater Which was a unique take on the zombie.

The low point was The No-End House.

This audiobook started off quite well and the narrator was good but the ending was disappointing and kinda of pissed me off.

My hope for August is to match July but if not that it's ok. I DNF my first book, which I may or may not try to go back to but not sure.
