How to Be a Saint By Kate Sidley
Non Fiction/Humour Audiobook
Five stars⭐

I got this as an ALC from Netgallery UK and finally got around to listening to it. This book is a funny and witty look at the process of becoming a saint, which is as we learn is a very bureaucratic in how one gets canonized. The history of canonization is a weird one and if you like your history to have a humorous twist to it this is right up your alley, Kate Sidley the author narrates the book and as is a good narrator to listen to as you hear about the steps it takes to get someone canonized which before the Catholic church made a official process was a local parish procedure which made you got a lot of saints like a huge amount which in why we have a doggo saint in Saint Guinefort who is a not recognised by the chruch by is a folk saint, also might not be real as his story matches the Welsh legend of Gelert but who cares I love the idea of a dog saint. We also learn of others saints, who range from real, probably not real and definitely not real. The foreword is by Stephen Colbert who Kate Sidley writes for on the tonight show. The audiobook is 4hrs and 13mins it's not a hefty listen. Would definitely recommend.
