Got this from Netgallery as an ARC, as I like the sound of the description. I gave it 4.75 as I did love the setting which shows a time period when disco was on it's way out but also seeing punk beginning to show up also glam rock, also getting a sense of New York in the late 70s to early 80s period with mention of club 54 and the like. Lynda doesn't miss a chance to name drop famous people she rubs shoulders with, as I said Lynda is unlikeable to me but I can admit she can be compelling but you see early on that she is a sociopath who feels trapped in her New Jersey town teaching position that she has been forced to take while her poetry ambitions have been stalled. This was a good read but had to knock off a little on my rating as Lynda was just so unlikeable to me.
